Principal's Welcome

Welcome to Petoskey Middle School–a school committed to “learning and growing together.” I am honored to serve as the principal of this truly special school. As a former Petoskey student and proud alumnus, I have a deep personal connection to our schools and community, and I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to a place that has meant so much to me.

Petoskey Middle School was once again recognized in 2025 as a Best Middle School by U.S. News & World Report, ranking among the top middle schools in the state of Michigan. While awards and rankings are only one measure of success, this recognition reflects the dedication of our outstanding staff, the hard work of our students, and the unwavering support of our families and community.

Middle school is an important and transformative time in a young person’s life. Our goal is to ensure that every student who walks through our doors feels supported, challenged, and valued. We remain committed to maintaining high academic expectations while providing the resources, opportunities, and encouragement students need to grow both academically and personally. Guided by our Full Value Agreement and Northmen DRIVE expectations, we strive to create a positive, inclusive environment where all students can thrive.

I firmly believe that strong partnerships between home and school are essential to student success. By working together, we can help every child reach their full potential, and I look forward to building meaningful relationships with our students, families, and community members.
