PTO Meeting
Attendance: R. Rakoniewski, D. Hensley, C. VanHoosier, J. Donaldson, P. Brewster, N. Koontz
Minutes were emailed
Treasurer’s Report was approved.
Will consider moving checking account to a different bank.
Mr. D report. Talked about the expanding student population. He will take shirts from the shirts for sale if needed.
Old Business:
1.
Carnival-booked
for student appreciation day( 5/20/2011).
Frankenmuth will bring 3 bounce houses.
Look at Frankenmuthfundraising.com for more requests for that
day.
2. Downtown shopping—Received Wendy’s money. Received the card from McLean and Eakin, and Newspaper. Will check on toy store and grandpa Shorters.
3. Money from Slater—whatever money is not returned to parents will go in the student activity account for future activity.
4. Field trip money will be set aside. ($4300).
New Business
1.
Still looking
for an item to auction for movie night. (3/11/11). Will check with someone about quilt—Student council
to have some kind of sale (maybe bake sale or lollipop sale). Email suggestions for movies.
Maybe Toy Story 3??Wizard of Oz.
Need 4th grade to sell popcorn.
2. Conferences—will have book fair---leaning toward McLean and Eakin. May be cancelling Scholastic.

Family Sledding Day—will continue to look for parent
volunteers. Skip donuts.
Hot chocolate donated by food service.
Jen Foucault will be here, and peg will help.
4. Volunteer Coordination—I will continue to email parents

Blood Drive---Mr. D will email Biz Bower to get more info.
Next Meeting Feb 8th
September 1, 2010 Meeting
Mr. D's report report: There have been budget cutbacks throughout the district. Teachers will be trying to report a liason for PTO. Teachers were encouraged to promote community involvement. Teachers will be rotating attendance of meetings.
New Business: Teachers supply of $50 has been distributed to them.
Walkathon - we will be giving away hot dogs, water, chips and cookie to participants.
COOKIE BAKERS NEEDED! Punch cards will be used to keep track of laps walked. The weather will be assessed Friday night and if necessary a cancellation will be made then.
Frankenmuth fundraiser kickoff October 1st or the 15th. We will have a reward carnival later. (TBD)
Box tops sheets will be sent home the second week of school
Scholastic book fair will open the week of conferences (hopefully).
