Beginner Line Dancing

Instructor: Janet & Jon Vance
Do you enjoy dancing, but don't go out because you don't have a partner? With line dancing, you no longer have to be a wallflower because no partner is needed. Learn the basic steps and dance routines to various types of music including Country, Rock n' Roll, Blues, Latin, Pop, and Waltzes. Dance Step Sheets will be provided.

Internet For  Beginners

Do you have trouble finding what you need and sometimes end up lost? This class will enhance your internet usage by exploring different web browsers and navigating hyperlinks. Learn how to copy, paste and print articles and pictures. Create an email account and learn about free downloads for anti-virus and spyware. Come on, what are you waiting for?

Digital Camera For the Beginner

Instructor: Marlene Mayer
Learn basic techniques of digital photography; tips on taking great pictures, downloading them to your computer and then touching them up with Adobe Photoshop. Explore Picasa, a free download that enables you to make picture collages and short slide shows to email your friends. Bring your camera if you have one but it's not necessary. Guaranteed to learn a lot!!

Beginning Word 2000

Instructor: Becky Bailey
Learn word processing skills for document setup and navigation. Understand basic word processing tasks like cut, copy and paste and document formatting. Learn specific skills for creating labels, using web templates and setting tab stops. Prerequisite: Computers For Beginners or basic computer knowledge, comfortable working in Windows and use of the mouse.

Mail Merge For Office 2000

Instructor: Becky Bailey
In this one evening class we will use both Microsoft Word and Excel to create a database to merge into Word forms. We use mail merge to create labels, envelopes, and form letters in Word. We'll explore how to set-up and import data from other programs like Excel and Access. A valuable tool for anyone who would like to make large mailings easy. Prerequisite: Beginning Word or basic word processing skills.

Beginning Microsoft Excel 2000

In this two evening class we will learn the basics of using a spreadsheet program, exploring subjects such as setting up a spreadsheet, using the Autofill feature, writing formulas and using functions. Also, formatting your spreadsheet with AutoFormat and other custom formatting options.
Prerequisite: Basic computer knowledge, comfortable working in Windows and use of the mouse.

Introduction To Selling On Ebay

Do you have things around the house that you would like to get rid of but wonder if it may have monetary value? Sell it on Ebay! This one evening class is for anyone who is interested in an introduction to selling on Ebay; it is a good way to jumpstart the learning curve of how to list an item. We will discuss seller fees, shipping methods, Paypal, and many tips to make your listing marketable.

Women's Wardrobe Wake-Up

You're ready for spring but your wardrobe isn't. And do you have Macy's taste but only a discount store budget? Jean will take you behind the scenes in retailing and show you how to put together stylish, flattering outfits using budget clothing. We will also demonstrate getting the best fit for your money, how to accessorize, and use of color. Class will meet at a local retail outlet. Limited to 10 women.

Beginning Knitting

Learn the basics of knitting and purling so that you can make scarves, sweaters, afghans, purses and more. This class is for someone who hasn't knit before or needs a refresher. 
Materials Needed: 10" long pair of knitting needles - size 7, 8, or 9; 1 skein sugar n cream cotton yarn.

Intermediate Knitting

This is a class for anyone who knows the basics of knitting. You bring any project and we will work you through it. You will also learn how to read patterns, cable, add yarn together, increase and decrease just to start.
Material List: Any project - you can make a scarf, sweater, afghan or just work on sample blocks in patterns that the instructor will provide. If not sure just bring size 7 or 8 straight knitting needles and skein of worsted weight yarn - instructor has a scarf pattern which you can start.

T-Shirt Quilt

Instructor: Kathy Mychkovsky
Do you have a pile of old t-shirts or want to make a memorial present (graduation is just around the corner). This is the perfect project. So gather those t-shirts and come to this class.
Supplies Needed: 12 or more t-shirts, about 3 to 5 yards of flannel fabric (more might be needed depending on the finished size), rotary cutter, ruler - should be 6x24 or 15" square and mat - you will need the 18 x 24 size, sewing machine, straight pins, thread will be used the second night.

Beginning Sewing Class

Recently received a new machine?? Or have an old machine and don't know how to sew?? Then this class is for you. You will get familiar with your sewing machine, learn how to read patterns, how to purchase material, how to cut/mark and sew. Also basic machine mending techniques. Need to have your own machine, instruction book (if available), scrap material, and an easy pattern.

Beginning Crochet

Learn the basics, chain, single crochet, double crochet and how to understand the patterns. If you have always wanted to crochet but can't understand how to begin, this is the class for you. 
Supplies needed: H or I crochet hook, skein junk acrylic yarn - worsted weight. If you have a simple pattern for a project, please bring it to the first class.

Bread Making (Baguette 101)

Instructor: Greg Carpenter
This hands on class will focus on the baking of the French Baguette. Artisan Baker Greg Carpenter will take you behind the counter of his bakery to explore all aspects of creating this versatile bread. Be prepared to get your hands in the dough. The class fee covers all materials, aprons will be provided and refreshments will be served. Each student will leave the class with a fresh, hot baguette and a recipe for producing great baguettes at home.

Dog Obedience Beginners

This class is a must if you have a new puppy or just need to teach "an old dog new tricks." Dog must be three months or older. Bring shot record, proof of negative stool sample and dog to first class.
