To make the veggie mobile run and operate more efficiently we replaced the tires, air filters, replaced all fluids with synthetic brands and additionally installed a new battery, starter, windshield wiper motor, and some electrical components.  Additionally we replaced the thermostat to open at a higher temperature and engineered the coolant to flow at twice the typical rate to increase the temperature of the vegetable oil more rapidly.

We switch the car to run on vegetable oil when the coolant reaches 180 degrees F.
We monitor the temperature of the vegetable oil at all times and use this for testing purposes.

In the trunk you will find a 14 gallon vegetable oil tank.

The original 81 Oldsmobile needed a little TLC so a group of students painted it
metallic green with the help of Hyde Equipment of Petoskey, Michigan.

Besides a great looking metallic green paint job, we replaced the windshield with the
help of Skip's Petoskey Glass.  We needed a logo and the art students
obliged us with the designs below.

The finished project.......quite a veggie journey!!!
